Volunteering at the library allows individuals to give meaningfully of their time and talents – to both connect with our community and to make it a better place. It provides an opportunity to build relationships, learn new skills, and increase fun and fulfillment in life. Volunteers generally work on special projects, events, or programs. The library reserves the right to offer volunteer positions to only those applicants who are a good fit based on their qualifications, the needs of the library, results of a criminal background check, and other pertinent factors.
Applicants under the age of 18 are required to have parental/guardian permission before volunteering.
Summarize special skills and qualifications you have acquired from employment, previous volunteer work, or through other activities, including hobbies or sports.
Assigned volunteer tasks depend on a volunteer’s experience, ability, library needs, and/or staff availability. Volunteers are expected to conduct themselves as ambassadors of the library and will adhere to the volunteer service descriptions and procedures, and library policies. Volunteer assignments may be concluded by either the volunteer or the library at any time. Applications may be kept on file until a volunteering opportunity arises.
I affirm that my responses in this application are true and complete. I understand that if I am accepted as a volunteer, any false statements, omissions, or misrepresentations made by me on this application may result in my immediate dismissal.
Thank you for completing this application form and for your interest in volunteering with us.
