Deputy Chief Roger Marks III
The Field Services Division is under the command of Deputy Chief Roger Marks III.
The Field Services Division is the backbone of a police department, responsible for frontline law enforcement and community safety. Officers in this division respond to calls for service, conduct traffic enforcement, investigate crimes, and provide proactive patrols to prevent crime and maintain public order. The division also includes animal control and parking enforcement, which play vital roles in addressing community concerns and enhancing neighborhood safety. They are often the first point of contact between the department and the community, working to build trust, ensure safety, and uphold the law every day.
The Patrol Section is comprised of two shifts. Each shift is led by a Lieutenant, and the day to day supervision is conducted by Sergeants.

The Traffic Section is comprised of one Lieutenant and one Sergeant. The Traffic Section has five designated Traffic Officers, two Car Markers and three Animal Control Wardens

Traffic Lieutenant Jeff Solemsaas
The Investigation Section is comprised of one Lieutenant and three Sergeants. The Investigation section has 11 designated investigators, seven MANTF investigators, two warrant officers and two crime analysts.

The Special Operations Section is comprised of one Lieutenant who oversees the West Dakota SWAT, Bomb Team, K9 Team, Drone Team and 5 designated Airport Officers.
