Warrants

Warrants Section

The Warrants Section is responsible for the process of municipal warrants that are issued by Municipal Court for the City of Bismarck.

Arrest warrants may be issued by the Bismarck Municipal Court, the Burleigh County Court, or any court having legal authority that extends to the jurisdiction of the BPD. Due to the large number of persons wanted by the various jurisdictions and the mobility of today's society, it is necessary for law enforcement agencies to utilize modern communication methods to distribute information and provide a means of identifying those persons for whom arrest warrants exist. For these reasons, the BPD utilizes the NCIC and CWIS computer information systems and has a warrant filing system to aid in the apprehension of those persons wanted by the BPD and other law enforcement agencies.

If you know the whereabouts of any of the individuals who may have a warrant, PLEASE contact the Bismarck Police Department at (701) 223-1212.
