1. Where can I purchase a map of the City?

Maps can be purchased at the Planning Division, located at:

221 N. 5th St.
Bismarck, ND 58506

Colored maps are $10 (46" x 50") and $20 (84" x 84"). These maps include zoning, subdivision names, streets,and lots/blocks. They are hanging on our walls for reference. A special custom map can be created through the GIS department, at an hourly rate.

2. How can I voice my opinion about an item on the City Planning & Zoning Commission Agenda?

You can either call the Planning Division at 355-1840 or send an e-mail to planning@bismarcknd.gov and your opinion will be passed on through our staff to the commissioners.  Those wishing to speak at public hearings are also encouraged to read the Bismarck Planning and Zoning Commission Public Hearing Procedure and Protocol document.

3. Where can I acquire aerial photos?

For hardcopy aerial photos, please contact Darrel Nucech in the GIS Office at 701-355-1600 or the following Aerial Photography can be downloaded from the ND State Data Hub

4. Where can I find out if my property has covenant restrictions?

If the property has covenants on it, they would be recorded in the Burleigh County Recorder's office. For more information please call 701-222-6749.

5. Where can I purchase a City Ordinance book?

This ordinance book can be received through the City Attorney's office at a cost of $75. There is also a yearly fee for the updates.
