Starting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011, Washington Street will be closed between Boulevard Avenue and Divide Avenue. A detour will be in place. Southbound traffic will be detoured from Washington Street east on Divide Avenue to 4th Street, then south on 4th Street to Boulevard Avenue, and then west on Boulevard Avenue back to Washington Street. Northbound traffic will be detoured from Washington Street east on Boulevard Avenue to 4th Street, then north on 4th Street to Divide Avenue, and then west on Divide Avenue back to Washington Street. The YMCA Washongton Street drvieways will be open to traffic. The closure will be in place until late August. The purpose of the closure is to install a new water line and widen and reconstruct Washington Street. Work will be done by Mariner Construction. Traffic should seek alternate routes.
