The look of Bismarck’s parking tickets is changing and residents and visitors to the city now have a convenient way to pay for these tickets.
Beginning on June 11, parking tickets will have the ability to be paid online. The printed copy of the parking tickets will include a QR code you can scan with your smartphone that will direct you to a pay portal. To scan this code, open the camera app on your phone and point it at the QR code. A link will pop up on your screen. Tap on the link and it will take you to the City’s secure online payment page. From there, you can enter your payment information and pay your ticket within minutes.
“This is something the community has asked for and we are pleased to be able to add this payment option for anyone who may receive a parking ticket,” said Bismarck Clerk of Court Kathy Wangler. “Certainly, we hope no one parks illegally, but in the event it happens, this is one way to speed up how people can pay that fine.”
A convenience fee will be added to the fine for all online payments. The exact amount of the fee and fine will be displayed before you complete your payment. Options for traditional methods of payment are still available for anyone who does not want to pay online. You may still mail a personal check or money order to the address listed on the ticket or visit the payment office in person during regular business hours.
For more information about the new online payment option or to ask questions, please visit the City’s website or contact Municipal Court at (701) 355-1350.
