BISMARCK, ND— The Bismarck Fire Department extinguished a fire at a home on the 300 block of North 15th Street in Bismarck this afternoon.
At approximately 3:55 PM on February 7th, 2024, the Bismarck Fire Department received a call for a structure fire at a home on the 300 block of North 15th Street. Bismarck fire crews were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters arrived on the scene at approximately 3:57 pm and reported a house with light smoke coming out of the front door. The occupant was out of the home but reported a dog was still in a kennel in the basement of the home. Firefighters who entered the house did a primary search and made their way to the fire. Firefighters simultaneously put out the fire and rescued the dog which was reunited with its family. Overhaul was then conducted to find any remaining smoldering materials.
No injuries were reported to occupants or firefighters.
Fire and smoke damage was contained to a lower level bedroom of the house. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
