[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in South Bismarck

Adrian Bustillos, 34, of Bismarck is under arrest today for allegedly shooting a gun at a 40-year-old man in the 1600 block of Park Ave.  The 40-year-old Bismarck man was not struck by the gunfire and was uninjured.

Around 12:30 this afternoon, officers responded to the area of 1200 Frontier Dr for a motor vehicle crash.  They were eventually met there by a 40-year-old man who was operating the vehicle that crashed into a parked vehicle.  He informed officers that he was jump starting his van in the 1600 block of Park Ave. and was approached by Bustillos, whom he knew as an acquaintance.   Bustillos and the man had an argument.   During the argument, Bustillos allegedly displayed a pistol and shot at the 40-year-old.

The 40-year-old ran from the scene initially in his vehicle, crashed into a parked car, and ran from the crash, while allegedly being chased by Bustillos.   Bustillos was later located by officers entering a residence in 725 S 12th Street in the 300 rows of the trailer park.   Officers set up a perimeter and began trying to make contact.

The West Dakota SWAT team was called in to assist, and an arrest warrant was issued for Bustillos.  Around 4:40 pm, Bustillos came out of the residence and was taken into custody.   Bustillos is being held at the Burleigh Morton Detention Center on charges of Attempted Murder and Terrorizing.
