The city has opened another sandbag operation, called Sandbag Central South. Sandbag Central South is located at the Northern Plains Commerce Center, 1901 Northern Plains Drive. Sandbag Central North remains open at the Missouri Valley Fairgrounds (3805 E. Bismarck Expressway).
People with trailers should go to Sandbag Central South. Sandbag Central South will be open 24 hours a day. Sandbag Central North is open from sunup until sundown.
Volunteers are needed and will be asked to register before they begin filling sandbags. Volunteers are asked to bring a shovel and gloves. Parental consent is required for those under age 18.
