[ARCHIVED] Bismarck Planning and Zoning Commission to hold public hearings

Notice is hereby given that the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will hold public hearings on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. in the Tom Baker Meeting Room, City-County Building, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota, to consider the following items:


    Request of Capital Electric Cooperative for approval of a zoning change from PUD – Planned Unit Development and CG – Commercial zoning districts to the PUD – Planned Unit Development and CG – Commercial zoning districts and a minor subdivision final plat for Schilling Second Addition, a 3-lot subdivision on 13.01 acres. The property is located in north Bismarck, south of 43rd Avenue NE, along the east side of the State Street frontage road (a replat of Lot 3, Block 1, Capital Electric Headquarters Addition and Lot 3, Block 1, Buffalo Jump Addition).


    Request of Big Pines, LLC for approval of a minor subdivision final plat for Big Pines Addition, a 2-lot subdivision on 4.792 acres. The property is located in north-central Bismarck, north of West Century Avenue and west of North Washington Street, along the east side of Hackberry Street (a replat of Lot 21, Block 2, Replat of Pinehurst Third Addition).


    Request of Denise and Stephen McDonough for approval of a special use permit for an accessory dwelling unit to be located on Lot 2, Block 3, Hay Creek Pines Subdivision. The property is located north of Bismarck, south of 97th Avenue NE and west of 26th Street NE, along the east side of Oak Drive (9501 Oak Drive).


    Request of the City of Bismarck for approval of a zoning ordinance text amendment relating to amendments to the lot modification process.  The proposed amendment would revise the definition of and process for approving lot modifications.


At the hearings, the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will provide an opportunity for all interested parties to be heard with respect to these items. Interested parties may submit written or email comments regarding these requests no later than 8:00 AM the day of the meeting to the Community Development Department, PO Box 5503, Bismarck, North Dakota 58506-5503, fax: 701-222-6450, or email. Written comments received after 8:00 AM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 and those submitted anonymously will not be forwarded to the Planning & Zoning Commissioners or included in the minutes of the meeting. Interested persons may also call 701-355-1840 with questions, for additional information, or to facilitate alternate means to appear at the public hearing without having to appear in person.


Descriptions of these requests are on file and may be viewed or copied any working day between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Bismarck Community Development Department, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota.
