[ARCHIVED] Fireworks Prohibited in Bismarck

Fireworks sales have begun throughout the state this week, and that includes areas surrounding Bismarck. The Bismarck Police Department wishes everyone a safe and happy 4th of July week, but also want to give everyone a heads-up regarding local ordinances.

Fireworks are prohibited inside the city limits, which means, they cannot be shot off, or possessed within the confines of the city without a special permit.  Fortunately, all of the fireworks stands are on the routes that lead out of town and can be purchased on the way to your celebration area.

Please enjoy the shorter week, and take in all the beauty in the skies to celebrate the day of our independence!
