[ARCHIVED] Bismarck Planning and Zoning Commission to hold public hearings

Notice is hereby given that the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will hold public hearings on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. in the Tom Baker Meeting Room, City-County Building, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota, to consider the following items:

•    Request of Capital Electric Cooperative, Inc. and Basin Electric Power Cooperative for approval of a major subdivision final plat for Cooperative Addition, a 2-lot subdivision on 5.54 acres.  The property is located in north Bismarck, west of US Highway 83/ State Street between Coleman Street and Lockport Street, along the south side of 43rd Avenue NE (part of the NE¼ of Section 21, T139N-R80W/Hay Creek Township).

•    Request of The Boutrous Group and Sanford Health for approval of a special use permit to extend the term of the temporary parking located at 202-212 E Avenue A (Lots 7-8, the S1/2 of Lot 4, the N1/2 of Lot 5, the West 50 feet of the S1/2 of Lot 5 and the West 50 feet of Lot 6, Block 15, Northern Pacific Addition) to May 31, 2020. The property is located in the downtown area of Bismarck, on the north side of East Avenue A, between North 2nd Street and North 3rd Street.

•    Request of Calvary United Methodist Church and Colleen Borgen for approval of a special use permit for a child care center to be located on Lots 4-8, Block 2, East View Addition.  The property is located in east Bismarck, north of East Rosser Avenue and west of North 35th Street, along the east side of North 34th Street (609 North 34th Street).

•    Request of the City of Bismarck for approval of amendments to the Growth Phasing Plan.  The proposed amendments would modify priority and future areas of the Urban Service Area Boundary of the Growth Phasing Plan to reflect changing development conditions.

At these hearings, the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will provide an opportunity for all interested persons to be heard with respect to these items.  Interested persons may also submit written comments regarding these requests prior to the meeting to the Community Development Department, PO Box 5503, Bismarck, North Dakota 58506-5503, fax: 701-222-6450, or e-mail.  Interested persons may also call 701-355-1840 with questions or for additional information. 

Descriptions of these requests are on file and may be viewed or copied any working day between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Bismarck Community Development Department, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota.
