Starting at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019, 5th Street between Sweet Avenue and Bowen Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
In addition to the lane reduction north of Bowen Avenue, 5th Street from Bowen Avenue, south to the Kirkwood Mall property, will be closed to all traffic during this time.
The closure and lane reduction are in place for contractors to do work on the water main, as well as the roadway in those areas.
This closure and lane reduction will be in place for approximately 10 days, weather permitting.
Traffic can anticipate congestion during peak hours and are asked to seek alternate routes.
Access to all businesses and the mall, will be maintained from 7th Street and 3rd Street.
