[ARCHIVED] Snow Removal Operations

City of Bismarck Street Department will begin snow removal operations at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, December 29th and will continue to plow in 12 hour shifts until all streets are cleared. Please move vehicles off of the street and keep them off the street to aid in the snow removal process.

Crews will begin plowing emergency routes and major arterial streets. Once these routes are cleared crews will move into residential areas.

It is the property owner’s responsibility to clear snow around their mailbox. If it is a cluster box, it is the responsibility of those residents to clear the snow from around the cluster box.

Please move vehicles off streets to aid in snow removal operation. According to City Ordinance a person may not move, dump or deposit by any means any snow or ice accumulated on private property onto any public street, alley, or public right-of-way. The fine for this violation is up to $1,000.
