[ARCHIVED] Author Talk with Lorraine Dopson

Bismarck writer Lorraine Dopson will be holding a book talk on her new novel, ‘Hard Road Home,’ at 2:00 PM (CT) on Saturday, December 12 at the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library.

The event is free and open to the public and is being sponsored by the Friends of the Bismarck Public Library.

‘Hard Road Home’ is a coming-of-age romance novel set in the midst of the Bakken oil boom. The novel tells the story of Bismarck native Amanda Swenson and oil truck driver Clayton Sloan. Like many people who come to the oil field during the peak of the oil boom, Clayton is driven to work hard and make good money – finding love was the last thing he expected.

‘Hard Road Home’ is Dopson’s third book and second novel. Copies of ‘Hard Road Home’ will be available for purchase at the event. Dopson will sign books following her talk.
