In April and May of last year, Bismarck residents Steve and Carol Mackintosh rode their tandem bicycle from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to San Diego, California. The trip, which took them 60 days, included crossing Texas, which was, at 1100 miles, almost a third of the trip. Along the way they recorded their adventure in both words and photographs, and they invite you to experience this exciting trip via their popular slide presentation. See the Southern USA from the bicyclists point of view, meet your fellow Americans, and discover what it’s like to travel from coast to coast at 12 miles per hour.
