Apex Engineering Group, a consulting engineering firm contracted to provide an independent analysis of flood protective measures, has developed a Draft Missouri River Flood Response Action Plan that recommends an action plan for specific temporary flood protective measures including equipment and materials that could be mobilized to fight various flood scenarios, should they occur in 2012.
A public input meeting will be held Feb. 23, 5:15 p.m., at the Bismarck Public Works, 601 S 26th Street, to seek public comment on the Draft Flood Response Action Plan.
Apex Engineering will provide a brief presentation and overview of their recommendations. Comments from citizens regarding the Draft Flood Response Action Plan are welcome and will be received at the meeting. The Draft Flood Response Action Plan will be available for viewing and on-line comments Feb. 21 at www.bismarck.org.
On-line comments will be received through 12:00 Noon, Feb. 24, 2012.
