As North Dakota residents continue cleanup and recovery efforts following the spring floods, the two remaining Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are on the move to new locations.
The Bismarck DRC will shut its existing location at close of business on Saturday, Sept. 10, and reopen at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at a new location in the Mandan City Hall, 205 Second Avenue NW, Mandan ND 58554.
The Minot DRC will also close its existing location at the close of business on Saturday, Sept 10, and reopen at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept 13, at the Dakota Mall, 2400 10th Street SW, Minot, ND 58701.
Regular hours for both DRCs will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday; closed Sunday.
DRCs provide disaster assistance to North Dakota residents who have been affected by the spring flooding. They are open for residents who like to speak one-on-one to recovery representatives. However, it is not necessary to visit a center to receive disaster assistance. The fastest way to register is by calling 1-800-621-3362 (TTY 1-800-462-7585) between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. (CDT) daily or going online at www.fema.gov or www.disasterassistance.gov, or by smart phone at m.fema.gov. The deadline to register for federal assistance, return SBA loan applications and apply for Disaster Unemployment Assistance is Thursday, Sept. 22.
