Stormwater run-off must be able to get into the storm inlets to prevent street flooding from rainfall. If the inlets are blocked, water will back-up in the street and may flood homes and businesses.
City Public Works crews are working hard to keep inlets open, but citizens can help by “adopting” a stormwater inlet. You can help to prevent flooding by keeping your adopted inlet clean and the surrounding area free of trash and debris. Adopt an Inlet.
If you see a blocked inlet that you can’t clean, please report it to Public Works at 355-1700.
