BISMARCK, ND – The Bismarck Fire Department responded to a report of ducklings trapped in a storm sewer on the south side of Bismarck this afternoon.
At approximately 10:00 AM on June 20, 2025, the Bismarck Fire Department responded to a report from a concerned citizen that a brood of ducklings had fallen into a city sewer. The fire crew from Fire Station 2 responded to investigate and found the ducklings in a storm sewer near the intersection of S 12th St and Tacoma Ave, in south Bismarck. The fire crew was able to safely remove all 10 ducklings from the sewer and reunite them with the mother duck, who was waiting nearby.
