[ARCHIVED] Outdoor Warning Sirens - Preventative Maintenance - Brief Tones

Outdoor Warning System Maintenance.png

Preventative maintenance of outdoor warning sirens within Bismarck will be conducted on Saturday, May 17 and Monday, May 19. As part of the preventative maintenance activity, individual sirens may be sounded briefly (about 10 to 15 seconds).     Although the tone of a single siren may be heard at times throughout the day, there is no emergency or cause for concern.   If there were an emergency requiring activation of the outdoor warning sirens, all sirens would be sounded simultaneously for a period of 3 minutes, similar to the monthly tests.

If you have any questions, please contact Gary Stockert with Emergency Management at 701-355-1314 or email gstockert@bismarcknd.gov.  For more information on the outdoor warning system, visit Bismarck Emergency Management.
