City of Bismarck offices, the landfill, and the Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Recycling Center will close at noon on Wednesday, December 24th, and remain closed all day on Thursday, December 25th, for the Christmas holiday. Thursday’s Garbage and Recycling gold route collection will be picked up on Friday.
Garbage and Recycling Collection – December 22-26:
- Monday and Tuesday routes will be collected as scheduled.
- Wednesday collection will be completed by noon.
- Thursday’s Garbage and Recycling gold route will be picked up on Friday.
- Garbage and Recycling must be set out by 6:00 a.m. on collection day, but you may set them out the evening before collection.
- Crews will not be dispatched to return to an address where items were not out in time for the initial collection.
Holiday Week Landfill Hours of Operation- December 22-26:
- Open Monday and Tuesday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- Open Wednesday until noon.
- Closed on Thursday, December 25.
- Open Friday through Saturday from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.

- Monday and Tuesday open 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.
- Wednesday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.
