Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health (BBPH) will be conducting a drive-through COVID-19 testing event at the Bismarck Event Center on Tuesday, August 11. The testing event is open to all ages, is first-come, first-served, and is scheduled to take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., or until testing supplies are exhausted.
“We have received a number of requests for testing times outside of normal business hours, so this testing event is scheduled later in the day to accommodate those requests,” said BBPH Director, Renae Moch. “We have had really strong turnouts for our testing events leading up to this one and those have all been events hosted during business hours. I’m eager to see the turnout for this one with this time change.”
Individuals wanting to be tested at this event must enter Parking Lot D, (the lot south of the Bismarck Event Center, across Bowen Avenue) from Seventh Street. Testing will then be conducted inside the Bismarck Event Center.
Pre-registration for this event is available at https://testreg.nd.gov/. By completing the entire questionnaire you will speed up your overall testing event experience, including receiving test results faster. Pre-registration does not guarantee test availability.
There is no fee for this collection of samples and subsequent COVID-19 tests and an individual’s health insurance will not be processed. Viral testing will be conducted at this drive-through event, but antibody tests are not available through BBPH at this time. Response times for test results may vary, depending on lab capacity. BBPH is reporting positive results within 24-72 hours, while negative results may take five to seven days.
