[ARCHIVED] MPO Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Amendments to TIP

The Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a  public hearing Monday, April 16, 2018, at 10am regarding two proposed amendments to the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan 2017-2020 TIP. The hearing will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled meeting of the Bismarck-Mandan MPO Technical Advisory Committee in the Bis-Man Transit facility training room at 3750 East Rosser Avenue, Bismarck, ND.

The purpose of the hearing is to provide an opportunity for public involvement in the review of the proposed amendments to the projects for the 2017-2020 TIP.  The TIP includes federally funded metropolitan area transportation projects over a four-year time frame.  The proposed amendments are to reconstruct the intersection at ND Highway 1804 and North Washington Street by constructing a roundabout and a mill and overlay of ND Highway 810 between Memorial Highway in Mandan and Washington St in Bismarck.

Furthermore the public is notified that the proposed amendments to the 2017-2020 TIP can be accessed by clicking here and will also be available for citizens to review at the Bismarck-Mandan MPO office located within the Bismarck Community Development Department, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota. Following the consideration period of citizen’s comments, the proposed amendment will be presented to the MPO Policy Board for possible adoption as part of the 2017-2020 TIP.  That possible adoption would be contingent upon no substantive project change resulting from public comments.

The public is invited to attend the public meeting, or submit written comments directed to Rachel Drewlow of the MPO to be received no later than noon on Friday, April 13, 2018, to P.O. Box 5503, Bismarck, ND, 58506. Written comments may also be faxed to (701) 222-6450 or Emailed.  Comments which are faxed or emailed should be specifically identified as public input on the proposed changes to the 2017-2020 TIP.
