[ARCHIVED] Driver of Stolen Vehicle Arrested After Crash

             Bismarck Police have arrested the driver of a stolen car involved in a crash that occurred this morning at 8th Street and Bowen Avenue.  A 22 year old Bismarck woman has been arrested for theft of motor vehicle, reckless endangerment and leaving the scene of a collision involving injury. 


At 9:58 a.m., a crash occurred at 8th Street and Bowen Avenue.  The vehicle allegedly driven by the suspect was southbound on 8th Street, when it was struck by a vehicle that was eastbound on Bowen Avenue.


The driver of the southbound vehicle fled the scene on foot and was apprehended in the area near Kirkwood Mall.  She was taken to a local hospital for her injuries, and was then transported to Burleigh Morton Detention Center.


The vehicle on Bowen was driven by a 62 year old man from Kilkenny, Minnesota.  His two passengers, an 87 year old Bismarck man and 84 year old Bismarck woman were taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. 


Shortly after the crash occurred, at 10:01 a.m., it was reported to police that the southbound vehicle involved in this wreck had been stolen from the 2600 block of Rosser Avenue, where it had been left running unattended.
