[ARCHIVED] Bismarck Mayor Mike Seminary Kicks-off Mayors’ Gold Star Community Task Force

The Bismarck-Mandan metro area is nationally recognized for the many positive attributes that our communities behold.  Despite the optimistic future, there remain challenges that pose risks to the health of our community, such as behavioral health and addiction.

Today, Bismarck Mayor Mike Seminary announces a call to action for the Bismarck-Mandan metro area and will gather community stakeholders for a discussion of these issues to prioritize them and to advance positive steps to address these challenges through a comprehensive community model of care. This model incorporates important aspects that include not only comprehensive services and continuity of care to the individual but health assessment and intervention to meet the community needs as a whole.

The Mayors’ Gold Star Community Task Force is a diverse group of committed individuals led by Bismarck Mayor Mike Seminary in partnership with Mandan Mayor Tim Helbling and Lincoln Mayor Gerarld Wise.  The task force will consist of community stakeholders with a passion and vision to create change and to make an impact on the current addiction and behavioral health issues in the Bismarck-Mandan metropolitan area.
