[ARCHIVED] School Pedestrian Traffic Routes Limited Near Solheim School

The City of Bismarck Traffic Engineer and Bismarck Public School officials have devised a plan for school pedestrian routes and transport of students in the Solheim School flood affected area.

“Right now we’re faced with the challenge of no available pedestrian traffic routes available South of the drainage ditch. Pedestrians have no means of crossing the ditch safely”, said Mark Berg, Bismarck Traffic Engineer. Bsmarck Public Schools has developed a plan to transport students in this area by bus. Parents South of the drainage ditch are strongly encouraged to have their children ride the school bus or to transport students by personal vehicle.

A temporary school crossing is in place at Washington Street and Munich to allow for school pedestrian traffic - students walking to school East of Washington Street.
