Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, the intersection of Washington Street and Boulevard Avenue will be closed to traffic. Detours will be in place.
Westbound traffic will be detoured from Boulevard Avenue south on 1st Street to Avenue F, then west on Avenue F to Griffin Street, and then back to Boulevard Avenue.
Eastbound traffic will be detoured from Boulevard Avenue south on Griffin Street to Avenue F, then east on Avenue F to 1st Street, and then back to Boulevard Avenue.
Northbound traffic desiring to go east will be detoured from Washington Street east at Tower Avenue to 1st Street, and then north on 1st Street to Boulevard Avenue.
Nrorthbound traffic desiring to go west will be detoured from Washington Street east at Avenue F to Griffin Street, and then north on Griffin Street to Boulevard Avenue.
The purpose of the closure is to work on raising manholes and to finish paving and install pavement markings. Work will be done by Mariner Construction.
Traffic should seek alternate routes. Your patience is appreciated.
