Other Projects

The Burleigh-Morton Behavorial Coalition Student Committee organizes various kinds of other projects & events such as the ones listed below.

Coffee Sleeve Project

A coffee sleeve designed by the student committee held in front of a coffee shop.

The student committee teamed up with 6 local coffee shops for National Prevention Week. The goal of the project is to promote that parents/guardians are the number one reason kids choose not to drink alcohol or do drugs. The coffee sleeves had a simple message: "By talking to kids regularly about the dangers of drugs and alcohol you reduce the chances of using them by 42%."

Participating partner in Bismarck Bone Shaker, Bitty Bean, Steep Me A Cup of Tea, Anima Cucina, The Gifted Bean, and Coffee Break.

Eyes On Your Cooler

Eyes on Your Cooler Sticker Project 2

Burleigh-Morton behavorial Health Coalition and McQuade's partnered together to help prevent underage drinking by asking adults and parents to place stickers that say "21+ Only" on their coolers. The goal of this project was to deter youth from grabbing alcoholic beverages from coolers. We asked adults to help prevent underage drinking in our community by:

  • Placing stickers that say "21+ Only" on their coolers that contain alcohol
  • Have a separate cooler for pop/water
  • To monitor alcohol making sure it doesn't get into the wrong hands.
