Title VI and Non-Discrimination / ADA Plan


The Title VI and Non-Discrimination / ADA Plan is a document which is required by the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Transit Administration. Its purpose is to ensure fair treatment to all people within the MPO area, specifically in regards to race, color, sex, age, national origin, disability/handicap, and income status. Any entity receiving federal transportation funds must be compliant with the federal regulations for Title VI.

Active Title VI / ADA Plan

Initially developed by the Bismarck-Mandan MPO in 2011 and adopted by the Policy Board on July 15, 2011, the Title VI and Non-Discrimination Plan is updated periodically. Updates to the document become necessary to ensure continued compliance with all federal regulations. Although Goals and Accomplishments are added to the Plan for each service year, the content of the Plan was most recently revised in July 2017.
