Bid Title: Belle Mehus Auditorium Seat Restoration

  1. Renovation to include the replacement of 825 existing seat and back foam and seat and back covers in fabric selected by Bismarck Event Center.
2. Bid price should include the complete renovation of the permanent fixed seating and vendors are the field verify the extent of the work and are responsible for all field data.
3. Upholstery fabric must be obtained of a single dye lot for each color and pattern. All material and padding must comply with California Technical Bulletin 117-2013.
4. Vendor to supply all materials, labor and transportation to provide turn-key project to re-upholster and re-build foundations of the existing seats on the main floor and balcony.
5. Vendor shall coordinate the work with the Bismarck Event Center and schedule around any events or other trades scheduled to take place.
6. All work will take place on site and all work shall be performed by a factory trained and approved installation contractor.
7. Strip old foam and fabric off existing seat foundation and back inserts on seats.
8. Install new cold molded foam, minimum 3” thickness, over seat foundation with synthetic spring barrier cloth.
9. Install new poly back foam of medium density over back inserts on main floor seating.
10. Cut, sew and upholster seat and back covers on assemblies in a fabric selected by Bismarck Event Center.
11. Lubricate all moving parts and adjust to proper sight lines.
12. Inspect and tighten all floor anchors, include up to 1% replacement.
13. One-year warranty on workmanship.
14. Manufacturer’s standard warranty on fabric.
15. Work area to be broom cleaned after work each day with debris taken to the Belle Mehus Auditorium supplied dumpsters.
