2024 Spring Load Restrictions Approaching in the City of Bismarck

Due to the early and unseasonably warm temperatures, the City of Bismarck is actively monitoring ground temperatures and roadbeds, anticipating the possibility of placing spring load restrictions on City of Bismarck streets and alleys earlier than normal. As the temperatures continue to stay above normal or rise, spring load restrictions could be put into effect anytime within the next couple of weeks.

Contractors/truckers should consider moving their heavy loads in the very near future before load restrictions are placed on City of Bismarck streets and alleys.

Restrictions will be lifted when roadbeds have stabilized enough to carry normal loads.

The proposed 2024 spring load restriction map is currently being developed and will be placed on the City website prior to City of Bismarck load restrictions being put into effect.

The Truck and Delivery Route map is available at: https://www.bismarcknd.gov/DocumentCenter/View/19457/Truck-Route-Map

Updates will be announced in future news releases as new information becomes available.

The City of Bismarck reserves the right to change or establish additional load restrictions on city streets as deemed necessary.
