[ARCHIVED] Public Hearing on 2024-2027 TIP Amendment

Notice is hereby given that the Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a public hearing on Monday November 20, 2023 at 10:00am regarding proposed amendments to the Bismarck-Mandan 2024-2027 TIP. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled meeting of the Bismarck-Mandan MPO Technical Advisory Committee in the Ed “Bosh” Froehlich Meeting Room of Mandan City Hall at 205 2nd Ave NW, Mandan, ND.


The purpose of the public hearing is to provide an opportunity for public involvement in the review of proposed amendments to the 2024-2027 TIP. The TIP includes federally funded metropolitan area transportation projects over a four-year time frame. This month, one amendment to add a highway pavement marking project to the TIP will be considered. 


The public is notified the proposed amendment will be available for citizens to review at the Bismarck Community Development Office, 221 N 5th St, Bismarck, ND. Following the consideration period of citizen’s comments, the proposed amendment will be presented to the MPO Policy Board for possible adoption, contingent upon no substantive change required due to public comments. 


The public is invited to attend the public hearing, or submit written comments directed to Stephen Larson of the MPO no later than 9am Monday, November 20, 2023 to P.O. Box 5503, Bismarck, ND, 58506. Comments may also be e-mailed or faxed to (701) 222-6450. Comments which are e-mailed or faxed should be identified as public input on the proposed changes to the 2024-2027 TIP.
