Child Passenger Safety

Unfortunately, over 70% of car seats are installed incorrectly. The Child Passenger Safety program at Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health provides education and car seats to qualifying parents in Burleigh County to prevent install errors. Community car seat checkups are also available for anyone who wants their car seats checked by a certified technician to ensure that it is installed properly. 


Safe Sleep

Cribs for Kids is a safe-sleep education and distribution program offered at Bismarck-Burleigh Public Health for families in need of safe sleep space to help reduce the risk of injury and death of infants due to unsafe sleep environments. Poison Control

Poison centers offer free, confidential, expert medical advice 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through their toll-free Poison Help line. They can be consulted for issues such as medication mistakes, drug interactions or adverse reactions, swallowing something that shouldn’t have been swallowed, inhaling of gas or fumes, eye or skin irritation from substances, and/or food poisoning.
