Ancestry Library Edition
Receive hands on instruction with this genealogy database. Also take a tour of the library's print genealogy collection. The class is free and lasts two hours. Register at the Information Desk.
Prerequisite: Must be able to use a mouse and have basic typing skills.
Beginning Microsoft Word
Learn the basic functions of Microsoft Word and the computer keyboard. Look at business/holiday letters, resumes, envelopes, and labels. Prerequisites: Each student must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, using the mouse and basic typing skills.
Computer and Internet Basics
Learn basic computer components and mouse skills. Practice searching skills and examine websites. Geared toward the very beginner. The class is free and lasts two hours. Register at the Information Desk.
Social Media Showcase
Introduces students to three of the most popular social media websites (Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest), some of the background behind them, and some of the basic tools and purposes for using each one. Class is free and lasts one hour. Register at the Information Desk.
