The Metropolitan Planning Organization, together with the City of Mandan, is working on a downtown subarea study focusing on Main Street to Second Street between Highway 6 and Mandan Avenue. The next public information meeting is Oct. 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the Veterans Room of Mandan City Hall, located at 205 2nd Avenue NW.
The study team has previously met with members of various boards and committees to understand background conditions, met with the public to identify key issues and opportunities, and completed two reports summarizing findings. Information is posted on the Project Website.
The upcoming meeting will cover transportation improvement strategies. Based on feedback to date, the study team has developed alternative solutions to balance the needs of all roadway users. The purpose of the meeting to is present the alternatives, collaborate to refine the best options and identify those that aren’t a good fit. The meeting will begin with a presentation and have multiple avenues for feedback and engagement.
