The Bismarck Fire Department in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week sponsors a poster contest each year to help teach important fire safety awareness. The 2016 poster contest theme was, "Don't Wait Check the Date Replace Smoke Alarms Every 10 Years."The first place awards went to 4th Grade S Schlittenhardt at Miller School and 5th Grade B Wetsch at St. Anne School. Second place award went to 5th Grade E Williams at Liberty School. The first place winners will be given a ride to school in a fire truck.

The Bismarck Fire Department sponsors a fire safety poster contest that is open to all 4th and 5th grade students. Posters are to be done on 8 1/2 x 11 paper only. Posters are to be related to this year's fire prevention theme...

"Every Second Counts:  Plan 2 Ways Out."

All posters need to be submitted to Headquarters Fire Station - 1020 E Central Avenue by Monday, October 25th at 4:00pm.

Please print the following on the back of all posters:

Student's full name, parent or guardian's name, telephone number, teacher's name, school and grade level.

Each grade's first place winner will be notified by the end of the day on October 28th. First place winner will receive a ride to their school in a fire truck. Rides will be given on November 3rd & 4th. Any questions please contact the Bismarck Fire Department at (701) 355-1400.
